PURPOSE: To provide a dust generated from steel manufacturing for dioxin treatment, which is able to substitute expensive iron used as a catalyst for treating wastewater, and a method of degrading dioxine in the wastewater by using the same, which is effectively treat the dioxine in the wastewater. CONSTITUTION: The dust generated from steel manufacturing for dioxin treatment is used as a fenton-like reaction or reduction reaction catalyst in wastewater. The method comprises the steps of (a) adjusting pH of wastewater using the reaction catalyst of the dust generated from steel manufacturing; and (b) adding hydrogen peroxide to the wastewater to treat dioxine by a fenton-like reaction.
