METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING FACSIMILE DATA BY THE VARIABLE FLAG LENGTH OF A GSM SYSTEM, PARTICULARLY FOR ACCURATELY TRANSMITTING FACSIMILE DATA BY VARIABLY APPLYING A FLAG LENGTH IN CONSIDERATION OF A RADIO ENVIRONMENT

PURPOSE: A method for transmitting facsimile data by the variable flag length of a GSM system is provided to enhance reliability in the transmission of facsimile signals by repeatedly re-transmitting BCS(Binary Coded Signaling) frame signals with a flag length variably applied thereto. CONSTITUTION: A transmitting side for transmitting facsimile data and a receiving side for receiving the facsimile data through a GSM system determine whether a BCS format signal of each process is inputted(S110). When the BCS format signal is inputted, it is determined whether flag signals of a start portion and an end portion which discriminate a frame unit are all detected(S120). It is determined whether there is an error in the received frame unit signal(S130). If a corresponding frame signal is not detected or if an FCS(Facsimile Checking Sequence) has an error, it is determined whether a pre-set number of times arrives(S150). If the pre-set number of times does not arrive yet, the length of a flag region indicated at the start portion and at the end portion is variably applied to the frame unit of the BCS format signal and then the BCS format signal is re-transmitted to the other party(S160).
