PURPOSE: A molded electric device and a method are provided to achieve improved adhesiveness with an electric insulating layer and dielectric strength of an insulated casing. CONSTITUTION: A molded electric device comprises an insulated casing(5) made of ceramics, wherein the insulated casing has an end and an outer surface which is not glazed; an end plate attached to the end of the insulated casing; an electric component accommodated in the insulated casing by the end plate; and an electric insulating layer(4) molded to the unglazed outer surface of the insulated casing.
