PURPOSE: A locking apparatus is provided to permit electronic components to be accurately fed from a tape feeder, by arranging the tape feeder to be accurately attachable/detachable to/from an electronic component feeding unit of a surface mounting device. CONSTITUTION: A locking apparatus(200) comprises a first link member, a locking handle(210), a shaft, a second link member, and a locking member(250). The first link member is arranged at one side of a tape feeder(100) such that the first link member is rotatable. The locking handle is fixed at one side of the first link member such that the locking handle rotates the first link member. The shaft has an end arranged at one side of the first link member such that the shaft is rotatable. The shaft moves forward and rearward in a lengthwise direction by the rotation of the first link member. The shaft has the other end arranged at the second link member such that the shaft is rotatable. The second link member rotates in forward and rearward directions by the forward/rearward movement of the shaft. The locking member is arranged at the second link member such that the locking member is locked/unlocked by the forward/rearward rotation of the second link member.
