PURPOSE: Halogenated organosilicon compounds are provided, which compounds have improved solubility and flexibility for organic solvent, so that they are useful as components of nano-compounds or as coupling agent. CONSTITUTION: The halogenated organosilicon compounds represented by formula (1) are provided, wherein R is a carbohydrate backbone except -OH in a polyol core; m is an integer of 3 to 20; n is an integer of 0 to 10; and X is SiMeoClp, SiMeoYp, SiMeoZp or SiMeoWp in which Y is CH2CH2(CH2)nSiMeoClp, Z is CH2CH2(CH2)mSiMeoYp, W is CH2CH2(CH2)nSiMeoZp, o is an integer of 0 to 3, p is an integer of 0 to 3, and o+p is 3. A method for preparing the halogenated organosilicon compounds represented by formula (1) comprises the steps of: reacting polyol of formula (2) with allylhalogen to prepare allyl compounds; and reacting the allyl compounds with halogensilicon in the absence of solvent and in the presence of platinum catalyst. The formula (2) is R-(OH)m, wherein R is a carbohydrate backbone except -OH in a polyol core; m is an integer of 3 to 20.
