PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus for rotating the rotary part to exchange the electrode holder at a work place by constructing an electrode arm comprising a body part and a rotary part so that the electrode arm performs exchange operation of an electrode holder more safely and simply. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for exchanging the electrode holder of the electrode arm comprises an electrode arm comprising a body part(22), and a rotary part(24) to one end of which an electrode holder(5) is clamped, and which is connected to the body part by a hinge; a transfer cylinder(60) to the side surface of which the rotary part is connected by a hinge, and in which an end part of piston rod is pivot connected to the rotary part, and an end part of cylinder body is fixed to the body part to rotate the rotary part by movement of piston; and a locking means(90) for fixing the rotary part to the body part, wherein the locking means comprises an elastic supporting device(100) which is consisted of body, coil spring, hub and ring shaped cover, and in the center of which a rod through hole is formed, and the elastic supporting device is supported by a tightening means(98) connected to an end part of rod(94) with being inserted into the rod that passes through groove of a latch(96) connected to a bracket(92) formed on the rotary part by a hinge and formed on the body part.
