摘要

PURPOSE: A thin film transistor array panel and a method of fabricating the same are provided to form a good contract structure and simplify a fabrication process by patterning an insulation film exposed to an aperture part formed on a contact part of a signal line so as to form a contact hole when a color filter is formed. CONSTITUTION: A gate line(121) has a gate electrode(124) on a substrate(110). A gate insulation film(140) is stacked on the substrate. A semiconductor layer(151) is formed on the insulation film. A source electrode(173) contacted to the semiconductor layer is formed and a data line(171) having the source electrode and a drain electrode(175) is formed. A passivation film(801) is formed to cover the semiconductor layer. A color filter has an aperture part(235) exposing the passivation film on the drain electrode. A contact hole(185) exposing the drain electrode is formed. A pixel electrode(190) is formed so that it can be connected to the drain electrode through the contact hole at a pixel region defined by the gate line and the data line.
