PURPOSE: An indoor device of an air conditioner is provided to cool and heat the room air by sucking in the air through air suction ports formed at both lateral sides of a cabinet and discharging the heat-exchanged air through three sides of a diffuser. CONSTITUTION: An indoor device of an air conditioner comprises a base(50); a cabinet(60) installed on the upside of the base and composed of air suction ports(60a,60b) formed on both lateral sides, wherein an upper side of the cabinet is opened; a diffuser(70) arranged in the cabinet to lift up and down, inserted into or drawn out through the upper side of the cabinet, and composed of air discharge ports(70a,70b) arranged on three sides; a blower mounted in the cabinet to suck in the air through the air suction port of the cabinet and eject the air through the air discharge port; and a heat exchanger installed in the cabinet to exchange heat of the air sent from the blower.
