DEVICE AND A METHOD FOR DETERMINING A TOTAL CONNECTION COST IN A MOBILE AD HOC NETWORK, SPECIALLY IN CONNECTION WITH CALCULATING COST OF EACH LINK AND NODE

PURPOSE: A device and a method for determining a total connection cost in an MANET(Mobile Ad hoc Network) are provided to combine flexible metrics to quantify qualities of radio links and nodes, thereby improving the performance of an MANET routing algorithm while calculating cost of each link and node. CONSTITUTION: An MN(105) comprises as follows. A memory(230) stores an MANET control program(240) and a routing table(250). The MANET control program(240) includes an AODV protocol algorithm(241). A data processor(220) includes commands stored in the AODV protocol algorithm(241), and executes commands existing in the MANET control program(240). When the MN(105) operates in an MANET, the data processor(220) stores route information received from neighboring MANET nodes to prepare for the routing table(250).
