METHOD FOR GENERATING DIGITAL MAP WITH EXPRESSION INFORMATION FOR GPS RECORDED THEREON, CAPABLE OF DISPLAYING PHOTOGRAPH AREAS IN POLYGON FEATURE

PURPOSE: A method for generating a digital map with expression information for a GPS(Global Positioning System) is provided to effectively estimate the expression information of aerial photographs by displaying photograph areas in a polygon feature rather than a point feature. CONSTITUTION: An aerial photograph area obtained by an aerial photograph technique is converted to a projection image by using a digital photogrammetry system(S311). In a second step, a photograph area is scanned from the converted projection image, from a still image digital values whose outer pixels are emphasized by a digital value of 0 or a positive value near 0, by using pixel values. Then, the scanned photograph area is converted to polygon data and stored(S322). The photograph areas stored in the second step are combined from the first area to the final area to obtain a digital map having an aerial photograph area recorded thereon(S351). In a fourth step, expression information is inputted to the digital map. In the fourth step, photographing information is inputted and an inner orientation error, with a least mean square error calculated in an inner expression process, is extracted. Then, external orientation error, with a least mean square error calculated in an external expression process, is extracted. Finally, extracted properties are automatically converted and inputted to a table connected to the digital map.
