IP Public ownership flag detection system and the method

PURPOSE: A system for detecting an IP(Internet Protocol) sharer and a method therefor are provided to easily manage IPs by capturing and analyzing an IP packet when the IP packet is received through a network, listing each IP address, leaving the IP address as a log, and notifying the IP address to a manager. CONSTITUTION: If an IP sharer system provides a communication interface for sharing information with another host, a communication interface module and communication kernel module(48) provides a kernel for controlling communication. A network interface driver module(49) interworks with a network interface module(50) and the communication interface module and communication kernel module(48), and transmits a packet to a network. The network interface driver module(49) transmits a packet received from the network to the communication interface module and communication kernel module(48). The network interface module(50) connects to a connection device on the network. A packet capture driver module(47) collects all packets transmitted from the network, and transmits the collected packets to a packet filtering module(46). A sharer judging module(45) judges whether the collected packets are packets transmitted from an IP sharer. If the collected packets are packets transmitted from the IP sharer, the sharer judging module(45) counts the number of the packets and IP sharer users and transmits the counted number to a retrieval list logging and storing module(44). The packet filtering module(46) transmits an IP packet, among the collected packets, to the sharer judging module(45). An information storing module(42) stores setup information for operating an IP sharer detecting system, an IP address of the detected IP sharer, and additional information. A detection result informing module(43) transmits information of the detected IP sharer to another system, or informs information of the detected IP sharer to a manager. The retrieval list logging and storing module(44) internally lists previously detected IP sharing information, and periodically stores listed contents in the information storing module(42).
