The apparatus for reproducing or playing back information comprises a play back device, a control unit and at least one two position push button switch. The information has, in each direction in which the information can run, at least two different play back modes. The different play back modes correspond to respective positions of the switch. For Example, one position could correspond to visual information playing forwards and the other to the information playing backwards. Independent claims also cover a method of playing back information using the device.
