The burner has nozzle tubes (14) placed concentric to a muzzle pipe (4). One tube carries a supplemental burner (24) such that the burner (24) is within the range of the torch burner mouth. A ring chamber is formed between the tube having the burner (24) and an outer hydraulic cylinder barrel underneath a nozzle ring of the burner (24). The chamber connected to a gas source via a torch bypass line (28) partially burns exhaust gas. An independent claim is also included for a method of burning inflammable exhaust gases.
