A book binding which enables the reader to read the text while having an uninterrupted view of the illustrations, e.g. for a brochure or a manual, has the text pages (2) with a normal binding (11) and opened onto a flat back panel (1) to view two pages at the same time. The binding axis is at right angles to the hinge of the front panel on the inside of which are fitted the illustrations (3). These can be viewed separately to the text pages. A simple design has the illustrations on a continuous strip wound between edge rollers.
