The method involves generating laser beam by a laser source. Outer lying sheets (4, 6) and an inner lying sheet (5) of a metal are welded by the laser beam, so that a welding connection is created between the outer lying sheets and the inner lying sheet. A laser head (3) is positioned at the sides of the outer lying sheets and connected by a light conductor (10) with an optical unit (13), which splits the laser beam. An independent claim is also included for a device for execution of a laser welding method.
