Multifunctional therapy device for shock wave or massage therapy comprises a base module (1) with a housing (2) containing a rear cylinder head (4), a cylinder tube (6) and a front cylinder head (5), a piston (7) that can be axially displaced in the cylinder tube, a connecting/control unit (8) that acts on the rear cylinder head, a piston rod (9) arranged on the piston, and an adaptable treatment head (10) on the front cylinder head and/or the housing that interacts with the piston rod. The treatment head can be a fixed shock wave anvil (11) or a displaceable massage plunger. An independent claim is also included for a combination of the above multifunctional therapy device and a hybrid cable with a compressed air line and a current conductor.
