The swimming pool construction (30) has a basin (1) composed of a number of flat sections bonded together preferably by welding to give watertight structures. They form especially a wall (40) of wall sections (4) and a base (50) of base sections (5) and/or special units e.g. steps and the like. The outer side of the wall structure is supported by a wall frame (2) with insulation bodies (6), especially of a hard foam. The wall support frame forms an external sandwich structure with a pressure equalizing layer (60) with pressure equalizing plates (3) of wood or plastics or metal, held in place by screw bolts, rivets or welding.
