The paint can (10), with label (20) affixed to its mantle (12), is of a transparent plastics material (18) resistant to the paint solvent. The label does not cover the whole mantle surface, to give window(s) (30) exposing an area of the mantle. The label height (H2) is less than the height (H1) of the can mantle. The label is attached by an adhesive, or during an in-mold production process.
