The security grid for a roasting oven, to prevent small children being burned by the oven heat, is composed of a number of plastics plates with slits which are fitted to the oven door by bars. The plates and the bars are of a transparent plastics, with heat-resistant shape stability. The plates and the bars are fastened together by nuts and bolts. The assembled grid is attached to the oven door by a double-sided adhesive tape.
