A device for readout of hologram (9) has a radiation source for radiating the hologram (9) with a readout beam (10) of electromagnetic radiation and has an outlet aperture (2) for receiving an image generated by the hologram (9). An optical system having at least two lenses (12,16) is provided, in which in each case a focal point of the first lens (12) and a focal point of the second lens (16) are arranged mainly in a first plane, and in which the hologram (9) as seen in the direction of radiation is arranged at least in front of the second lens (16).
