The coin deposit lock has an operational part (50) moving between two end positions within the housing (40). The operational part has two control profiles (56A, 56B, 57A, 57B) provided on both sides the longitudinal axis (L-L) of the housing. The operational part moves vertically between one of two limit positions (H1, H2) upon the immediate and reciprocal impact of either a key (10) or coin (20). The operational part has further two latch profiles (58A, 58B, 59), which block the key or coin in one of two limit positions. A magnetic element is positioned in the center of the housing (40) and cooperating with two further magnetic elements to secure one of two positions of the operational part (50).
