An electrohydraulic metal and plastics shaping device includes a tank (7) for hydraulic fluid and a motor driven pump (not shown here). In a hydraulic circuit parallel to the hysteresis valve (12), is provided a solenoid valve (13) which opens in the flow-less state and is arranged in a power circuit by which the solenoid valve (13), with switch-on of the motor current, is transferred to its closed state in which both the hysteresis valve (12) and the solenoid valve (13) each have at least a return-flow aperture (12b, 14a) which connects with the tank (7).
