The device (15) is for interior rooms and uses plants (8). It has a vegetation mat (7) with esp. low growing plants, which is arranged upright or almost upright, on the room floor (B). It also has a watering device for automatic water supply to the plant roots. The mat consists of an-organic sterile material, and has several layers. The mat is part of an upright stand, and serves esp. as room divider. The stand has several planted walls (19,20,21), and esp. the top (21) is fully planted. The mat is fastened to a carrier panel (5) via adhesive (6) etc. Panels and mats are held in frame (4), which is supported and held via a holder (22) on a base (9). The base has a water tank (11) and a pump (2), for drip watering, and a dampness sensor.
