The valve has a valve holding body (1), a valve body (2) clamped to the holding body by a clamp nut (9) and an axially movable needle for opening and closing an injection opening (7). The clamp nut has an opening (18) enclosed by an annular clamping surface. The internal diameter of the opening corresponds essentially to the external diameter of a second cylindrical section (14) of the valve body and the valve body has a peripheral groove in the transition from the second cylindrical section to a contact surface.
