The method involves delivering a badge having memory including registration information of entry at time (t1), to a user at entry. The information is read from the memory at time (t2). Payment is calculated and the badge is validated after payment. The validated badge is delivered at exit. The validated badge is then recycled towards the entry. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for managing a place provided with a toll gate (2) a badge for being used with the device for managing a place with a toll gate.
