PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for synthesizing copper sulfide nanoparticles whose application to an optically functional material, electronic device or the like can be expected in a moderate system at a low cost industrially advantageously compared with a conventional method for such synthesis. PSOLUTION: This synthetic method is characterized in that a copper-surfactant salt is mixed with a sulfur-dodecanethiol solution in an organic solvent, particularly in that copper acetate or copper acetylacetonate is complexed by oleylamine or dodecanethiol and is sulfurized by sulfur dissolved in dodecanethiol.
