CONTAINER FOR BOTH RAISING EELGRASS SEEDLING AND CREATING EELGRASS FIELD, AND METHOD FOR USING THE SAME

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container enabling easy raising of eelgrass seedlings therein, and free from obstructing the growth of eelgrass in the case that the container after raising eelgrass seedlings is placed on the bottom of the sea and the seedlings grow and roots and underground stems extend. PSOLUTION: This container (A) for both raising eelgrass seedlings and creating an eelgrass field is obtained by sewing and processing a woven cloth made of a biodegradable polylactic acid fiber to a box-like container (1), and passing a hanging string (5) made of cotton through a hollow part (4) having opening parts (3) on both the ends and set on the opening (2) of the container (1) followed by attaching to the container (1). The woven cloth is made by plain weave, and its texture (6) is woven so as to allow the roots (8) and ground stems (9) of the eelgrass (7) to pass through. PCOPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
