PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a satellite bidirectional time comparison method that does not require a spectral diffusion modem of complicated configuration and a satellite channel of a wide band.;SOLUTION: Signals A and B of the same angle frequency (ω0), based on respective signals being reference of respective times, are generated in respective stations, and two high frequency signals V1 and V2 in which an angle frequency difference is 2ω0 are generated in a station A, to transmit them to a station B. A signal C, where the angle frequency difference is 2ω0 is generated from the two high-frequency signals transmitted in the station B to find a phase difference MA between the 2 multiplication signal of the signal A and the signal C. At the same time, two high-frequency signals V3 and V4 in which the frequency difference is 2ω0 are generated in the station B to be transmitted to the station A, and a signal D where the angle frequency difference is 2ω0 is generated from the two high-frequency signals transmitted in the station A. A phase difference MB between the 2 multiplication signal of the signal B and the signal D is found, and the time difference is found by dividing (MB-MA) by 4ω0.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
