PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stable highly efficient light-emitting substance comprising the kind of an oxynitride silicate having cation M and having the empirical formula: MSiSB2/SBOSB2/SBNSB2/SB(M simultaneously contains Sr, Ca, and any other activator D as components, wherein D is ensured with at least divalent europium). PSOLUTION: M=SrSB1-x-y/SBCaSBy/SBEuSBx/SB(x+y is 0.3 to 0.725; Ca/Eu ratio is 1), and the oxynitride silicate emits light having a main wavelength in a range of 555 to 568 nm.
