PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner external additive which hardly causes deterioration or crack of an organic photoreceptor because it does not react or interact with the photoreceptor and is softer than a conventional inorganic fine particle, prevent sticking of a toner onto the photoreceptor because it has good flowability, and has electrizability not affected by the environmental state, and to provide a toner that is obtained by externally adding the toner external additive, and a silica fine particle useful for their manufacturing. PSOLUTION: The spherical hydrophobic polydiorganosiloxane-containing silica fine particle is obtained by reacting (1) a spherical polydiorganosiloxane-containing silica fine particle, that is obtained by performing the cohydrolysis and condensation reactions of (A) a tetraalkoxy silane and/or its partially hydrolyzed and condensed material and (B) a polydiorganosiloxane having a hydrolyzable silyl group and not having a hydrophilic group, and (2) a silazane compound and/or a silane compound, and has an average particle size of the primary particles of 0.01-5 μm.
