PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To explore a treating agent of dry eye or diseases associated with the dry eye.;SOLUTION: This compound expressed by general formula (1) [wherein, A is a lower alkylene or a lower alkenylene; ring X is a non-aromatic ring or a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic ring; R¹ is H or a lower alkyl; R² is hydroxy, and R¹, R² may form a lactone ring by condensing each other; R³ is H or a lower alkyl; R⁴s are each a lower alkyl which may have a substituent, a cycloalkyl, an aryl which may have a substituent, hydroxy or its ester, a lower alkoxy, carboxy or its amide, or a lower alkylamino or its amide; (m) is 0-4 integer; and in the case that the (m) is ≥2, the R⁴s are each the same or different] or its salt exhibits an excellent improving effect in a cornea disorder-curing effect examination by using a dry eye model, and is useful as the treating agent of the dry eye or diseases associated with the dry eye.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
