PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iron-based sintered alloy material for the valve seat which is inexpensive and safe to human body and moreover superior in abrasion resistance.;SOLUTION: This sintered alloy material is prepared by dispersing hard particle of Hv. 700-1300 by 3-20 vol.% into the base material phase which consists of 5-40vol.% of a perlite phase, 20-60vol.% of a fine carbide-dispersed phase and 5-20vol.% of high alloy-diffused phase. As for the hard particle, it is desirable to adopt at least one particle selected from among intermetallic compound particle of Mo-Ni-Cr-Si-Co, intermetallic compound particle of Cr-Mo-Co and alloy particle of Fe-Mo.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
