PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for speedily detecting illegal use of a cash card, a credit card and a debit card and for responding to the illegal use.;SOLUTION: A server 14 of a card company 22 transmits a used content to a portable terminal 11 of a card user 10 by an electronic mail whenever the cash card, the credit card and the debit card are used. Telephone numbers of the card company 22 and a jurisdictional police station 21 are written in the mail. When the card company 22 is notified about detection of illegal use, the company sends a damage report mail to a server 18 of the jurisdictional police station 21. Use of the card is stopped only by returning the mail transmitted to the portable terminal 11 of the card user 10 from the server 14 of the card company 22.
