PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound which is improved in thermal stability and alkali stability, which has superior mismatch bonding power and molecule recognition power, an immobilized substance of the compound, a method of detecting mismatched base pair using the compound, a kit to be used for the method, and a method of detecting abnormality of base sequence.;SOLUTION: The compound is expressed by general formula (1) in which R1 and R2 are each independently a hydrogen atom, a 1-5C hydrocarbon group, or an organic group in which nitrogen atom and/or oxygen atom are substituted for at least one carbon atom of the 1-5C hydrocarbon group, and R shows a 4-6C alkylene group or an organic group in which oxygen atom is substituted for at least one carbon atom of the 4-6C alkylene group; and a compound which falsely formes a base pair to the mismatched base pair being a base pair incapable of forming normal base pair; and the immobilized substance of this compound are used.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
