METHOD FOR REPAIRING LEAKING SLENDER HOLLOW MEMBER IN BOILING WATER REACTOR

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To repair or seal a leaking slender hollow member such as a control rod drive device housing and an in-core monitor housing of a reactor pressure vessel such as a boiling water reactor. PSOLUTION: To a control rod drive housing (50) in a reactor pressure vessel which is inserted in a stub tube (46) through the bottom head dome (44) of the reactor pressure vessel (10) of reactor and attached by fixing to the bottom head dome through the stub tube, an upper part (76) and a lower part (92) are provided. The lower part is formed by cutting the control rod drive housing (50) and removing a part of the control rod drive housing below the stub tube.
