PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for laying and collecting an elongated material capable of laying down or collecting a large and heavy elongated material easily.;SOLUTION: The apparatus 1 for laying and collecting a fire hose 2 comprises a carriage 10 having a reel 3 and travelling drive motors 22 and 23 for driving wheels 20 and 20, a reel driving mechanism 11 for rotating the reel 3 within a vertical plane using a drive roller 24 and a driven roller 25 and which has the drive roller 24 and the driven roller 25 arranged on the carriage 10 rotatably for supporting the reel 3 from lower parts and a roller drive motor 26 for rotating the drive roller 24, a generator 12 for supplying drive power to the travelling drive motors 22 and 23 and to the roller drive motor 26, a travel direction changing section for changing the travel direction of the carriage 10, a travel speed adjusting section for adjusting the travel speed of the carriage 10, and a control apparatus 13 having a rotation speed controlling section for controlling the rotation speed of the reel 3.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
