The present invention describes the use of pomolic acid, its derivatives and pharmaceutical preparations derived from them as anti-neoplasic agents in the treatment of multidrug resistant tumors. In relation to other drugs that present anti-MDR activity, these substances do not require the concomitant use of reversers to exert their anti-MDR activities.
