PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve vibration control construction for a reinforced concrete building that is made up in a framed structure comprising two column and a first beam and a second beam connecting the two columns. ;SOLUTION: The vibration control construction is equipped with a hanging wall 60 and a spandrel wall 62 that are not connected directly to two columns, and the hanging wall 60 is connected as a unit to the first mean 20 and hung down toward the downside from the first beam 20 while the spandrel wall 62 is connected as a unit to the second beam 22 and erected upward on the second beam 22. A vibration control unit 80 interposed between and connected to the sagging wall 60 and the spandrel wall 62 undergoes plastic deformation by relative displacement in the horizontal direction occurring to the sagging wall 60 and the spandrel wall 62 because of flexure of the building at the time of an earthquake and absorbs energy. The vibration control unit is equipped with a pair of steel end plates 84 and 86 respectively positioned at the upside and the downside for being connected respectively to the sagging wall 60 and the spandrel wall 62 and yield steel plates connecting the end plates 84 and 86 together. Steel anchorage members 30 for connecting the paired end plates 84 and 86 of the vibration control unit 80 respectively to the sagging wall 60 and the spandrel wall 62 are provided.
