PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To search a position of a general purpose portable telephone from a search center using the portable telephone even when the telephone is in a non-operable state by a user.;SOLUTION: The portable telephone has at least a GPS reception part for receiving a GPS signal from a GPS satellite, a transmitting/receiving part for transmitting/receiving each kind of signals from a portable telephone network, an application storage part for storing multiple of application wherein software for searching position is included.
