An duplicate insertion prevention apparatus for a disc drive, includes at least one door lever to guide a disc being inserted to a disc drive, in contact with the disc, and a duplicate insertion prevention lever to restrain the door lever from rotating when a disc is in operation in the disc drive, preventing insertion of another disc. Accordingly, a simple-structured and compact-sized disc drive may be implemented.
