The present invention uses peripheral blood monocyte-lymphocyte for the early diagnosis of pancreatic cancer, as well as other conditions of the pancreas and other organs. The peripheral blood lymphocytes recognize the new neoplasm in the pancreas, as well as disease processes in other organ systems. The evaluation of this specific recognition of the disease process by the peripheral blood monocyte-lymphocyte through gene microarray expression patterns constitute a successful method for the early detection of pancreatic cancer and other organ disease processes.
