New compounds (I) comprise at least one therapeutic agent (II) for the treatment of lung cancer or pulmonary diseases and at least one carrier peptide (III) for increasing the bioavailability of (II) in the lungs, (III) being one of two specific peptides designated SynB4 and SynB6. New compounds (I) comprise at least one therapeutic agent (II) for the treatment of lung cancer or pulmonary diseases and at least one carrier peptide (III) for increasing the bioavailability of (II) in the lungs, (III) having the sequence Ala-Trp-Ser-Phe-Arg-Val-Ser-Tyr-Arg-Gly-Ile-Ser-Tyr-Arg-Arg-Ser-Arg (SynB4) or Arg-Gly-Gly-Arg-Leu-Ser-Tyr-Ser-Cit-Cit-Cit-Phe-Ser-Thr-Ser-Thr-Gly-Arg (SynB6). An Independent claim is also included for the use of the peptides (III) in the preparation of (I).
