ANTIGENIC PEPTIDE FOR USE IN HIV DIAGNOSIS AND A HIV DIAGNOSTIC KIT COMPRISING THE SAME

Antigenic peptides capable of being recognized by the antibodies induced in man by reteroviruses of type HIV1/HIV2 comprising synthetic oligomeric peptide with sequences from gp41 (HIV-2) as an antigen for recognition of anti HIV1/2 antibodies. The above said peptide of gp36 and gp41 is highly immunoreactive with the sera of HIV-1 as well as HIV-2 infected individuals. An enzyme linked immunoabsorbent assay kit is proposed comprising said synthetic oligomeric peptide with sequences from gp41 (HIV1) and/or gp36 (HIV2) as an antigen for recognition of anti HIV 1/2 antibodies; a membrane/sold phase adapted to be coated with the said antigenic peptide; a preparation of anti human antibodies such as here in described and a test manual comprising directions for concluding the test. The above HIV diagnostic kit is simple and cost-effective to obtain and at the same time highly effective and sensitive as far as proper diagnosis of HIV ½ viruses are concerned. Drawing: 05 Sheets.
