The invention refers to medicine, in particular to hepatology and may be used for determining the presence of portal hypertension to patients with hepatic cirrhosis.Summary of the method consists in that it is carried out the puncture in the region of the IX intercostal space on the left on the posterior axillary line after carrying out the local anesthesia, afterwards the needle is introduced through the pleural sinus into the spleen parenchyma at the depth of 3 cm. Then, it is introduced a contrast substance, and in 3…4 s it is carried out a series of radiographs. After the introduction of the contrast substance by means of a syringe there are introduced 10…20 ml of fibrinogen 50…100 mg/ml and thrombin 75…250 IU/ml mixture dissolved in aprotinin solution with an activity of 2500…10000 KIU/ml.
