摘要
The steel contains specific amounts of carbon, silicon, manganese, phosphorous, sulphur, chromium, molybdenum, nickel, titanium, aluminium and boron. A drilling steel, preferably for stationary induction hardening, comprises 0.3-0.5 wt.% carbon, 0.15-0.4 wt.% silicon, 1.1- 1.5 wt.% manganese, less than 0.035 wt.% phosphorous, 0.02-0.05 wt.% sulphur, less than 0.5 wt.% chromium, 0.03-0.15 wt.% molybdenum, 0.15-0.4 wt.% nickel, 0.02-0.05 wt.% titanium, less than 0.05 wt.% aluminium, less than 0.004 wt.% boron (total), more than 0.0005 wt.% soluble boron and the balance iron and impurities. An independent claim is also included for an axle made from this steel.
