Securing flag to rope, by passing loop in flag rope through loop formed in rope protruding from false hem in flag

A rope in a false hem sewn into the flag is turned back and stitched to itself to form a loop protruding from the seam by a distance of ca. 10 cm. A loop formed in the flag rope used for raising and lowering the flag is threaded through the loop in the hem rope and passed around the free end of the hem rope.
