A structural member for furniture, comprising at least a first (2) and a second (4) elements board shaped, said elements shaped board being arranged parallel to one another, characterized in that said board shaped (2 , 4) are made from wood or wood based material, and in that the spacer elements (3) are arranged between these elements shaped board (2, 4), compounds said spacer elements by elements tubelike essentially circular cylindrical cardboard or paperboard are arranged such that their symmetry axes are parallel to each other, each spacer member being arranged shaped tube (3) so that a first short end thereof is attached essentially completely together with said first board shaped (2), while a second short end thereof is essentially completely joined together with said second element board-shaped (4).
