Disclosed are nutritional compositions for treating rheumatic diseases. Thenutritional compositions contain a fat source containing at least one of: 1)at least one omega-3 long chain polyunsaturated fatty acid and 2) at least oneomega-6 long chain polyunsaturated fatty acid; a carbohydrate source; aprotein source; and at least one of a Boswellia extract and a Phlebodiumextract. Also disclosed are methods of treating rheumatic diseases andsymptoms thereof, involving administering to a subject an effective amount ofthe aforementioned nutritional composition.
