Method and device for colorimetric measurement of effect- and uni-lacquers

Method for color measurement of paints in which a light source (1) projects light towards a sample (3) measurement surface (4) from where it is reflected towards a planar detector (5). Illumination and detection angles are systematically adjusted relative to each other angle-dependent RGB values are recorded. The extracted data sets are used to form virtual 3D models, e.g. of vehicle body parts. These can then by viewed with varying virtual illumination and observation angles via a suitable playback arrangement. The invention also relates to a corresponding device for implementing the inventive method.
