AN IMPLEMENT METHOD OF SHORT RATE TRAFFIC SIGNAL TRANSMITTED IN OPTICAL TRANSPORT NETWORK

An implement method of short rate traffic signal transmitted in OTN includes the steps: A. adapting a short rate traffic signal that is to be transmitted to a short rate optical channel data unit which rate level is same with the short rate traffic signal; B. asynchronously mapping each achieved short rate optical channel data unit separately into a short rate optical channel data tributary unit, and to each short rate optical channel data unit, setting justification overhead for rate matching; C. forming said short rate optical channel data tributary unit of more than one link together with said corresponding justification overhead into a high order optical channel data unit. The present invention enables the OTN to support the mapping, multiplexing and high efficiency transmission to short rate traffic, and without increasing the complexity, realizing transparent management and maintenance of up-to-down and end-to-end of short rate traffic in OTN.
